Dans le parc (30 minutes),
Près du hangar en bois, prendre le chemin du sanglier qui descend au fond du vallon, un banc vous attend sous le figuier pour rêver. Puis vous arrivez à la sente du chevreuil qui vous mène au petit bois, vous remontez ensuite jusqu'à l'allée de cyprès, vous obliquez vers la droite en passant dans le tunnel de noisetiers et vous arrivez aux abords du Moulin
Les cygnes et les canards dans le bassin vous attendent pour une petite conversation.
Vous faites le tour de l'étang et admirez les nénuphars. Vous aurez reconnu des chênes verts, des chênes, un tilleul, des tulipiers de Virginie, des cyprès d'Italie, des figuiers, des arbres de Judée, un magnolia, des pins parasols, un magnifique if, des frênes, des saules tortueux, des vernis du Japon, des buis, des lauriers-tin.

Around the Chartreuse (30 minutes)
Near the wooden shed, take the wild boar path that descends to the bottom of the valley. A bench awaits you under the fig tree, perfect for a moment of reflection. Then, you'll reach the deer trail that leads you to the small wood. From there, you’ll ascend to the cypress avenue, veer right through the hazel tunnel, and arrive at the vicinity of the Mill. The swans and ducks in the pond are waiting for a brief conversation. Walk around the pond and admire the water lilies. You’ll recognize the green oaks, oaks, linden tree, Virginia tulip trees, Italian cypress, fig trees, Judas trees, magnolia, umbrella pines, a magnificent yew, ashes, twisted willows, Japanese varnish trees, boxwoods, and laurels. You now know the estate!
Petite balade en forêt (45 minutes),Si vous suivez l'allée du parking, vous arrivez sur votre gauche à l'orée d'un petit bois. En pénétrant dans celui-ci, vous trouverez en hauteur une palombière. Un chemin descend le coteau à travers des bosquets. Pour revenir au Bignac, il faut prendre la petite route vers la gauche.
Forest walks (45 minutes)
If you follow the parking lot avenue, you'll arrive at the edge of a small wood on your left. Upon entering, you'll find a palombière (a traditional bird hunting shelter) at a higher point. A path descends the hillside through small groves. To return to Bignac, take the small road on the left.
Découverte des alentours (1 heure et plus)
En faisant le tour du verger, vous prenez une trouée qui vous mène sur le plateau. Vous
traversez des vignes, des vergers, les chemins sont bien tracés. Vous aurez le choix entre
plusieurs balades allant de 1h à 2h30 ou plus (voir les cartes).
Vous aurez le plaisir, quel que soit votre choix, de rencontrer des écureuils, des chevreuils ou des faisans, vous serez accompagnés par des gazouillis d'oiseaux.
Selon la saison, vous grignoterez des prunes, des noisettes ou des mûres.
Vous cheminerez au milieu des chênes, des frênes, des acacias, des charmes. Vous
découvrirez les doux reliefs périgourdins.
Pour vous aider à vous orienter, vous aurez, sur le plateau, le clocher blanc de Saint-Aubin de Lanquais. En face du Bignac, vers le sud le clocher de Conne de Labarde, vers Monbazillac, le petit clocher de Colombier et comme sur une belle carte postale, vers l'ouest l'église du XIIème siècle de Saint-Nexans. Si les vents sont favorables, les cloches se répondront pour sonner les heures et l'Angélus.
Walks in the neighbourhood (1 hour and more)
As you walk around the orchard, you'll take a gap that leads you to the plateau. You'll cross vineyards and orchards, and the paths are well-marked. You can choose from several walks ranging from 1 to 2.5 hours or more (see the maps).
No matter your choice, you’ll have the pleasure of encountering squirrels, deer, or pheasants, all while being accompanied by the chirping of birds. Depending on the season, you’ll be able to nibble on plums, hazelnuts, or blackberries.
You’ll walk through groves of oaks, ashes, acacias, and hornbeams, discovering the gentle Périgord hills.
To help guide you, you’ll have the white bell tower of Saint-Aubin de Lanquais on the plateau. To the south of Bignac, you’ll spot the bell tower of Conne de Labarde, and towards Monbazillac, the small bell tower of Colombier. As if in a beautiful postcard, to the west, you’ll see the 12th-century church of Saint-Nexans. If the winds are favorable, the bells will echo, ringing the hours and the Angelus.
